SicknessJanuary 16, 2009When God created us in the beginning there was no sickness, the bodies were perfect, the bodies were created to keep regenerating for eternity with the power of the Holy Spirit, only when mankind(Adam and Eve) heeded the voice of Satan and sinned, did the sinful nature of the flesh start to flourish(disequilibrium was started) and start to hamper the regenerational process of the body and did death enter our lives, and over the years the carnal nature got worse and worse.
The carnal nature of our bodies today (sinful nature-see page on "God's Protection" for more info on sin) is toxic poison to the spirit within our bodies and when the spirit is poisoned through sin, this affects the body. The fleshly nature is always trying to dominate the spirit.
So there is a link between your physical wellbeing and your spirit
What also affects the spirit negatively, is long periods of stress, or unusually high levels of stress.
The other factor that also infuriates the situation and makes it even worse, are the demonic forces that try and infuriate our stress levels even sometimes while we are sleeping(can't sleep, or wet dreams-wet dreams are demonic, while sleeping a demonic spirit merges with yours, gains access if the shield of protection is weak caused by sin), pushing the drive for revenge, lust etc which causes an increase in the war within us, a war between the flesh and the spirit, which causes sickness to manifest in the body.
The physical body also needs to be looked after, by eating healthy, exercise, living a balanced lifestyle with family, work, sport etc. Also going to medical doctors for the necessary advice/treatment of the physical body.
So the key to staying healthy, is to eat healthy, exercise, live a balanced lifestyle with family, work, sport etc use the medical advice/treatment to your advantage and to strengthen your spirit by ensuring you pray, fast & go to church regularly, and grow in living a holy life according to the word which accelerates the healing process and increases the annointing on your life which also keeps demonic influences at bay. In terms of fasting, before going into a fast,don't do physical excercise like jogging, cycling etc for about two days before you start.(normal daily activity is ok, for the average person) The most powerfull form of fasting is water only(or dry fasting-not recommended). To build up your resilence, do one full day each week, for about 3 or 4 weeks, then go for a 3 day water fast, just have a little juice when it gets too difficult. Keep repeating this pattern every 2nd or 3rd month until your healing breakthrough comes. Sometimes u may need to do a 3 day fast every 2 or 3 month for 2 - 3 years, but keep going and eventually your breakthrough will come!! When breaking the fast, try break with a meal that includes lots of vegetables or salad, because you so hungary when breaking, its difficult to control your hunger, so fill up with as much vegetables/salad as possible with your meal(vegetable lasagne is a nice one), try as best you can, to fill up little by little, to avoid eating too much and hurting/stretching your stomach and getting nauseas.
