The power of prayer combined with fasting is necessary when doing battle with very powerful demonic forces. Prayer and righteousness is not enough, the full armour of God must be combined with fasting. see eph6 for full armour of God
These principles need to be applied to be effective in reaching the lost with the word of God and countering the influence of the demonic, prayer and holiness is no longer good enough on its own because mankind has turned far from God and empowered Satan and that's why war and violence is escalating, thus we having to partner God in holiness and prayer and fastings to be effective in this season and for many seasons to come.
The disciples were unable to exercise demons out of a man, and when they asked Jesus why it would not come out, he said, some only come out except by prayer and fasting.
Mathew 17:21
However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.”
The Israelites tried to fight the Benjamites, and lossed many many men in the battle, but the next time before they went to battle they fasted, and then they won the the battle (Judges20:26)
When the Lord was trying to send a word to Daniel, there were strong demonic forces withholding the word from reaching Daniel, Daniel then having been stirred by the Holy spirit to fast, started fasting and then the word God was sending was able to break through the Demonic strongholds and reach Daniel 21 days later, then Daniel ended the fast when he felt the release in his spirit. ( Daniel 10)
Before Ester makes her move to bring deliverance to her people,she is lead by the Holy Spirit to call a 3 day fast. Ester 4:16
The Prophet Joel foresees a time of great distress and is lead by God to call a fast (Joel 1:14; 2:15) - and we are now in that time.
In the context of war with another nation
This is how we are to fight post the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ,
we are to partner God in Holiness, prayer and fasting (war in the spirit with the
Word) when reaching the lost or making changes in the world for peace, we
are not to turn to military might, but to partner God in the principles of
loving our enemies, principles of sacrifice, been prepared to sacrifice all
for God's sake, combined with prayer and fasting.
Only believers in right standing with God (living Holy, see page on How God's
protection works for details of sin), acknowledging the death burial and
resurrection of Jesus Christ, and having accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and
Saviour by the guidance and power of the Holy Spirit, bearing the fruit of
repentance, acknowledging the Trinity, acknowledging true believers go
to heaven after they die and not some waiting place, praying to
Father God in the name of Jesus Christ(not to Mary or the Saints, this
weakens your prayers) by the guidance of the Holy Spirit with fastings
regularly have access to the full power of God to be truly effective in
conquering darkness and spreading the word of God and making
real change for furthering the Kingdom of God.
The death, burial & resurrection of Jesus Christ tore the veil in the most
Holy of Holies in the temple, symbolic that we are no longer separated from God,
for those that are under the blood Christ, and with this
comes the unlimited supernatural power from God (never available to us under the
old covenant), to see even our enemies saved when we partner God in these
principles of self sacrifice, prayer , fasting and holiness. and to bring peace ito
principles explained above, therefore God no longer condones us using bombs,
military might to bring piece, instead we are called to be prepared to sacrifice all
incl family, finances, homeland and your own life and to love your enemies and
partner God in Holiness, prayer and fasting to dethrone Satan and for Christ to
rule and reign in the hearts and minds of mankind and to influence man to be fair,
kind and Holy.
That's why the new covenant is called the better covenant, Heb 7/8/12, its a
new way of doing things , old things have past away, and a new way has been
ushered in.
We've offered the world a luke warm gospel, of killing our enemies to defend
ourselves, which has hindered the annointing and been part of the reason we
have'nt been as succesful as we could've been in seeing the lost come to Christ.
God under the old covenant called for an eye for an eye, tooth for tooth, he
called for military warfare against enemies, in some instances called for every
man, woman & child to be executed, now he calls us to play our part in bringing
every man, woman & child to Christ.
God under the new covenant , calls for a new way, where the Sword is the Word
of God, and we are called to become the Sword.
The New Testament is full of these teachings of been the new way of doing
things.
Ephesians 6 , talks of the armour God to be used when doing battle, and
explains its a war not against flesh and blood but against principalities and
powers of wickedness in high places.
Luke 6(27,28) & Mathew 5(44), of loving our enemies, praying for those who
hate us,of doing good to those who spitefully use us, blessing those who curse
us.
Rev 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed,
the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and
you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the
crown of life.
Acts20:24 But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to
myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received
from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.
Luke17:33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life
will preserve it.
Mark8:35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his
life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
Rev 12:11, And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death
Our testimony is key to winning the lost, and part of it is been Holy, unbiased etc(breastplate of righteousness Eph 6) and been prepared to sacrifice all to see the the lost saved and to over come Satanic forces, Rev 12, they did not love their loves to the death
Under the new covenant, its all about spiritual warfare for the souls of men, women & children, no longer are we given permission totake territory militarily but through spiritual warfare we must break satans princes of the terrotary for the doors to be opened for the hearts of the people to be opened to the Gospel, but our prayers need the full power of God for this, and we need to live the example Christ lived as well as his disciples, been holy, unbiased & non violent, not once did they put an army together to conquer a land for the gospel to be preached in that land, instead they went in clothed with the armour of God in the principle that if it costs them their lives so be it , but we must not give up.
These principles are the same to bring fairness and equality to the land.
We must be prepared to sacrifice our lives to see our enemies saved or
bring equality and fairness,
God does not condone us killing our enemies to defend our homeland,
instead we must not waver in our faith in these principles and in our faith
in Jesus Christ regardless of the sacrifice and be as bold as lion stand for
these principles.
Eph 2:1-3 according to the prince of the power of the air
When this revelation hits you, it will all become clear to you, military warfare
only leads to more military warfare ,more bloodshed, and many more souls for the
gates of hell as most people today are not true born again Christians.
Mathew 26:52 But Jesus said to him, “Put your sword in its place, for all who take
the sword will perish by the sword. 53 Or do you think
that I cannot now pray to My Father, and He will provide Me with more than
twelve legions of angels? 5
Jesus tries to show us here, there's no need for the sword, if he wanted he could pray for
legions of his Angels to calm the situation down and strengthen the people to be fair and kind
toward one another.
James 4:1
Where do wars and fights come from among you? Do they not come from your
desires for pleasure that war in your members?
i.e it comes from people not been prepared to sacrifice all and and endure
hardships, verse rather putting their faith in God in prayer and fastings and
sacrificing all to see God and his Angels strengthen the people
to bring justice and equality to the land.
James 4:2
You lust and do not have. You murder and covet and cannot obtain.
You fight and war. Yet you war yet do not have because you do not ask.
Isn't this the story of ? and ? (you fill in the question marks)
Even post rapture, apon the Lord's return, Jesus Christ makes war with the
armies of Satan by speaking the Word, no military weapons.
Also Ez 38:11, prophecy of end times when the children of Israel will be born again and living without walls etc and putting their faith in God for protection and not military might and justifiably so , as God supernaturally destroys the armies that come against them,and the children of Israel use their weapons as fuel i.e no longer interested in military weapons.(see page : End time prophecies for more info on this).
All things are possible for those that believe in God,
nothing is impossible for us,
as long as we partner God in these principles. Have faith and be
obediant and we will restore light in this world.
We are also called to be impartial in our dealings with peoples, just as God is
impartial in his principles of blessings for obediance and curses for disobediance
Col 3:25; Gal 2:6; Deut 1:17; Job 32:21 , so we are to be impartial
between peoples e.g. black and white, Arab and Jew, etc.
I had a dream from the Lord and I saw large portion of the body of
Christ in America showing partiality towards Israel and I saw this
causing the annointing to dry up, we must be impartial with different tongues
and tribes. We are called to proclaim the gospel to the Jew first and also to the
Greek(the entire world),but don't show partiality to any tribe i.t.o war, land etc.
Powerful demonic forces tried to reap havoc in South Africa from May 2008 and
we countered it with fasting, these beasts are now based in Israel/Palenstine
and I'm fighting them with fasting(and need all believers to be fasting to push
satanic forces down and fasting for people to be fair and kind to each other),
so don't you dare condone either the Arab or the Jew to kill each other for land,
instead we are to live the principle of sacrifice to show an example, to teach
them that when they let go and turn to Christ in principles explained on this
page will everything be restored and the land will heal with Christ reigning
on the throne of their hearts.
Satan is using this mentality, that we must defend ourselves with military might
to drench his throne with blood, God tells us to war in the spirit, with faith, the
times we are in is a wake up call for us to reach the lost like never before,
or the enemy will be on our doorstep shortly. We can war in the spirit at the
moment from where God places us,but if we don't push with fasting, we'll be
disposessed(and then we can't choose the gun, we'll have to make the
sacrifices) and have to war in the spirit from a land the enemy chooses
to place us. (Like Daniel had to war in the spirit from Babylon)
All us believers are spirit filled and have access to the power to win, if we don't
fast and win the world over to Christ the Lord in these end times, darkness
will fill the land, true believers will be raptured, and there'll be billions of souls
left behind and most will be lost to Satan and hell, we can't be self centered
in our thinking The Lord wants us to win as many souls for Christ as possible.
Bible prophecy scholars must continue to research the bible to open up the
prophecies to give us direction for our prayers, to counter the influence
of Satanic forces, but not for the purpose of wanting the rapture to happen, the
Lord wants us to win the world over to light, its self centred to want the rapture
to happen and see billions lost forever.
Any man or woman of God condoning war with military might other
than war in the spirit or showing partiality between different tribes
and tongues will have the annointing on his or her life hindered.
including fasting,(although Ghandi was unsaved, he understood the power of these
principles)and as Nelson Mandela (who had the strength and wisdom to see one
people and not two people i.e wanted equality for both blacks and whites)post
release from Jail used non violent ways to bring equality and fairness(pre jail, he
decided to use violence and landed up in jail and the movement was slowed down,
post release,
, when deciding the way forward was going to be through non violence, the
movement's momentum grew fast and was successful). Nelson Mandela was
determined to do what is right, despite the wrongs that were done to him, he
didn't want go from inequality to black people to inequality to white people, he
wanted what is right, fair and just for everyboby, he wanted equality for
everybody in South Africa, despite what the whites had done to the blacks, he
understood "TWO WRONGS DON'T MAKE A RIGHT".
The Lord calls us to be prepared to suffer wrongfully & sacrifice our lives to even
see our enemies saved or bring equality and fairness, we are not to sacrifice our
lives to kill our enemies.
In order to bring peace in this world you must be prepared to loose everything to
do what is right, otherwise fear will dominate you, one must be unbiased and
view the situation in an objective manner and do what is right regardless of the
actions the people who you are fighting with are taking. White South Africa in
1994 had to embrace the Black South Africa, despite their fears that an "Inferior
people" would run the country into the ground,(whites had a rascist mindset and
thought the blacks would run the country into the ground), White South Africa was
pushed into doing the right thing with Sanctions as well as with the leadership of
Mandela, and Democracy came into been in 1994, and 16 years later South Africa
is a better place for it and has not been run into the ground,(we still have problems,
but we've taken a step in the right direction).
In line with the above principles, we also need to pressurise Israel/Palestine with
Sanctions to push them to do the right thing and overcome their negative thinking
of each other and embrace each other in the form
of a democratic One state Solution to make things fair and equitable for everybody.
its an ideology that fuels extremism, wants you remove the drive, it
suffocates the idelogy and withers away, right now Israel is fuelling it by their land
grabbing policies that makes extremism grow, once you take the drive out whats
growing them, they wither away, it was the same here in South Africa, we had
right wing extremists both black and white, neither trusted the other, neither
wanted peace, but once there was equality and fairness for everybody, they could
no longer preach their gospel of how they are been oppressed to grow their
movement, people are inclined to get on board when their in oppression or
inequality and can be mislead into violent extremesim, once the root cause
fuelling it is removed, it withers away.
yes,there was some nasty bumps initially after the change in RSA,but as years
went on we grew as a nation, and the the right wingers are still here, but the
venim in their fire has been quenched and they are actually now integrating
and functioning in a multi racial society.
and yes, we still have problems, but we are a lot better off and moving forward.
It's wrong for both the Israeli's and the Palenstinians to use violence/military
action against each other and its wrong for the rest of the world to use military
action to kill each other, doesn't solve the root causes of the problems. see "Israel

World war II was won through miliary warfare and an atomic bomb, but the
enemy(Satan) won in the long run,post war, this lead many nations into a arms
race like never before, with nations seing their people starve to death so they can
have a nuclear bomb and many other nations spending billions on military defence
when they don't have enough money to grow
crops and feed their people and educate them on a academic & technical side,
build roads etc, but they have a
fortune in military weapons, although their nations are falling apart, and the very
thing they thought would defend them , is the very thing that's bleeding them dry
-expenditure on military weapons.
The enemy has successfully weakened the power and flow of the annointing of
the Holy Spirit by leading us away from the principle of self sacrifice to bring
equlaity and fairness & see our enemies saved, to self sacrifice to kill our
enemies to defend our homeland/families etc, the lord calls us to be prepared to
sacrifice all to see even our enemies saved or bring equality and fairness in a
country with prayer, fasting, non violent unbiased diplomacy.

In the context of the corporate world, where there is a non performer, if this person has been given all the necessary training and time to adapt etc, but its just laziness, the company policies on discipline must be followed.
There nothing wrong with strong diplomacy, but there is something wrong when we restort to killing one another.
Police should have powerful priests/pastors working with them, that in the event their is a crime being perpetrated, the pastor can pray God's Holy Angels into the situation and break the influence of the demonic over the people doing crazy stuff and the people will very quickly calm down and the police must be armed with non lethal weapons, e.g tranquilizer guns etc but once the influence of the demonic in the situation is broken the criminals will quickly calm down and co-operate with the police. People underestimate the influence of the demonic driving people to do crazy stuff and once God's Holy Angels are prayed into the situation calm will quickly be restored.
Just in terms of Fasting, some extra scriptures below emphasizing its importance.
Fasting should be a regular part of ones walk with Christ, you've got to be Holy, prayerfull and fasting i.e you've got to be on fire for Christ, luke warm status quo is not good enough.
If a comrads marathon runner doesn't put themselves through gruelling training, they won't make it, its the same with running the race of spiritual warfare, you've got to have fasting as a regular part of your walk with God to keep spiritually fit, and keep your lamp well oiled and yourself well conditioned that if the Holy Spirit leads you to fast over above your normal regualr fasts as Daniel was(Daniel 10), you are spiritually fit enough to obey.
Matthew 6:16, “Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites, with a sad countenance. For they disfigure their faces that they may appear to men to be fasting. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, so that you do not appear to men to be fasting, but to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.(here Jesus still calls for fasting)
Matthew 9:15, And Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.( again Jesus emphasises the call to be fasting regularly)
Luke 2:37, and this woman was a widow of about eighty-four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.
Luke 18:12, I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.’
Acts 10:30, So Cornelius said, “Four days ago I was fasting until this hour; and at the ninth hour I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing,
Acts 13:2, As they ministered to the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Now separate to Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Acts 13:3, Then, having fasted and prayed, and laid hands on them, they sent them away.
Acts 14:23, So when they had appointed elders in every church, and prayed with fasting, they commended them to the Lord in whom they had believed.
Acts 27:9, Now when much time had been spent, and sailing was now dangerous because the Fast was already over, Paul advised them,
1 Corinthians 7:5, Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control.
2 Corinthians 6:5, in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings;
2 Corinthians 11:27, in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness—
One can see from the above scriptires inspired by Holy Spirit, that fasting is still a very important aspect of our walk with God as the disciples and Paul had fasting as a regular part of their walk with the Lord, and this was long afer the resurection, it's not negotiable, has to be done, it's the lack thereof that has seen the false teachings creep in, as God's word can only be correctly understood with the annointing and not intellect and fasting is also essential to keep your lamp well oiled and also for also for dealing with powerful demonic forces that can't be dealt with with prayer alone.
Other reasons for fasting:
Accelerates spiritual and physical healing
Sharpens one spiritual senses
allows the word of God to break through demonic strongholds (there
are massive demonic shark nets in the spirit realm trying to catch the
word that God is continually sending to you, that's why fasting must
be a regular part of life to ensure you get the word timeously and for
the other reasons explained above)
In terms of fasting, before going into a fast,don't do physical excercise like jogging, cycling etc for about two days before you start.(normal daily activity is ok, for the average person)
The most powerfull form of fasting is water only(or dry fasting-not recommended).
To build up your resilence, do one full day each week, for about 3 or 4 weeks, then go for a 3 day water fast, leaders should do this regularly, non leaders should do it 3 times a year, my personal opinion, the following months are the most important to do it in, April, May and June, the enemy always seems to launch his full scale attack like clock work, this time of the year, otherwise fast as and when the Holy Spirit leads you to.
When breaking the fast, try break with a meal that includes lots of vegetables or salad, because you so hungary when breaking, its difficult to control your hunger, so fill up with as much vegetables/salad as possible with your meal(vegetable lasagne is a nice one), try as best you can, to fill up little by little, to avoid eating too much and hurting/stretching your stomach and getting nauseas.
Daniel fasting, (fruit and vegetables is also powerfull, but doesn't come close to the power released from a water fast)
If you've seen the cartoon, the magic potion Asterix & Obolix use to make them invincible, is what water fasting will do for you, for healing from Cancer, Bi-polar, HIV/Aids etc as well as dealing with demonic oppression.
You must continue monthly on the 3 day fast until you get your breakthrough, you'll feel the release in your spirit, as Daniel felt the release when to end/break the fasting of his fruit and vegetable fast after 21 days. Make it a priority above your sport etc 1st get your breakthrough/release before you worry about sport etc

The military wars taking place in Afganistan/Pakistan, Iraq, Libiya, Israel/Palestine where many are getting killed on a regular basis are releasing enormously powerful curses to empower Satan's witchcraft, as well as the fornications, sodomies, homosexualities, oppression of the poor and the hungary, abortions, greed, sin
We got to teach that blessing and curses happen without partiality i.e it just happens, my website has more. Post Christ resurrection, military warfare not condoned anymore, its non violent , unbiased diplomacy combined with prayer and fasting that win's the day.
Satan drove Hitler to do what he did during WWII, but it was also Satan who drove Hitler to get Germany to commit suicide by going to war against Russia in the middle of winter, why would such a stupid move be motivated, the answer, it was time to end the war, so Germany's highly organised and disciplined army had to be crippled in order to be beaten, so Satan drove Hitler to go against Russia in winter, and like lambs to the slaughter they went, and this saw their army stripped apart and become easy pickings, and soon after the disastrous affair in Russia, Germany was conquered by the Russians as well as the Amreicans and other coalition forces. But the biggest contributing factor to Germany's defeat was their suicidal move into Russia during winter. The movies show Winston Churchill as some awesome leader, but he was nothing more than a ignorant leader, singing and chanting for bravery with rockets , bombs and bullets, who Satan was all to happen to paint as a hero, and all good.
Bottom line, Satan engineered WWII's beginning and end and used the Russian winter to cripple Germany and make them easy pickings, evil means brought peace only to ensure a long term goal achieved i.e rockets, bombs and bullets = WWIII
The next quesion, is why would Satan want to have seen Germany defeated at the time it was, the answer, only America had WMD's , so one massive war of mass destruction could not be achieved, but Satan had to ensure their was a winner, and that Germany was defeated, so that mankind could be taught that military warfare win's battles/wars and resolves conflicts and the root causes of the problems, thus ensuring faith in rockets, bombs and bullets becomes deaply entrenched so when the time is right, conflicts/tensions with Israel & Iran because of Israel's land grabbing and oppression of the Palestinians(Gazan war displayed Israel's rascist attitude towards Arabs vs Islamic extemist also breeding prejadice/rascist views of Jews) be escalated to launch WWIII, only this time to see the entire world destroyed with WMD's, while Satan laughs all the way to the blood bank having made absolute fools out of us and see his plan to launch a One World Government come to fruition.
Also, mankind with the help of Hollywood movies, the sanctity of marriage has been replaced with consensual sex, taking responsibility has been replaced with abortion, homosexaulity is normal, bling/materialism is rampant.
And his plan thus far working very well, everyone looks to WWII as an example as to how we solve our problems instead of trying to shift values back to being family orientated and the power of non violent unbiased diplomacy with prayer and fasting, and thus we have recessions, extreme poverty, rampant abortions and a world full wars and no peace.
A strong leader like Ghandi could've lead a non violent resistance to Germany, where if he called us to follow him to Germany and lay down our lives before the concentration camps to protest against what the Nazi's were doing to the Jews, the power of the Holy Spirit would've been released in such a powerful way that the Germans would've been convicted of of their wrong doing, they would 've killed many of us before this point would've been achieved, but the goal would've been achieved and by getting the "enemy" to get a moral conviction and revolt from within , if millions of europeans all shipped of to the concentration camps to protest, they would have shot many of us, but as long as we kept coming, the breakthrough would've come like it did in India and South Africa and in the long run , the World today would be a better place!!!.
